Ayresome Primary School’s HeadStarters have been getting into the festive spirit recently as they have been helping to decorate the school’s numerous Christmas trees over the past couple of weeks.
Along with children from the School Parliament, the HeadStarters have been decking the halls and giving the school a warming, festive feel.
Making our surroundings as welcoming and comforting as possible can be a great way to make ourselves feel good, even when we’re working hard at school or work.
The HeadStarters have also had an early Christmas gift from school in the form of new hi-vis jackets to make them more recognisable on the playground.
At Ayresome, the HeadStarters take the role of Peer Mentors within the playground to support other children with their emotions and other difficulties. It won’t be hard for children to know who to see if they have a worry or concern now!
