Many of the year 5’s in St Margaret of Clitherow Primary School have achieved the Bronze and Silver HeadStarter Pathway. These pupils have shown a huge commitment to emotional wellbeing and to becoming a HeadStarter within their school. Their creativity has been astounding and when the HeadStart Team delivered their final session, the HeadStarters committed to telling their peers about some of the things they had learnt in an assembly in the new year.
The pupils have seen great value in their HeadStart journey, one pupil said how “it is good to be a HeadStarter as we can help others be happy and make ourselves happy by making them happy”. Others said they understand empathy more now, have more understanding of other people’s feelings and to be kinder to others. Many of them explained how they understand their feelings better and can help others understand theirs.
The school have shown their appreciation for the HeadStart programme and the dedication of the staff. They have seen a positive impact in previous years and are looking forward to what the children achieve in their new role.
Well done Year 5s at St Margaret of Clitherow Primary School.
