Hello All,
The recent weeks has been some of our busiest, as we made plans for The Headstart Conference. I have met with all the workshop providers to discuss how they will teach and discuss with young people how they can relate their work to emotional wellbeing and promoting positivity for children attending.
It was lovely to welcome Heather and Laura from the North East and North Cumbria Child health and wellbeing network to the conference as they hosted a stand to promote their healthier together campaign.
Most recently I have shared my thoughts and views around the agenda of the operations oversight group for the network and offered input on their key financial decisions.
It has been enjoyable to be part of the planning stage for the execute development day session for the network which, will bring professionals and young people together.
Alongside this we have started our targeted transition sessions with numerous schools for their year 6 students. These children are coming to the end of their primary school journey and start looking forward to year 7 in September. Whilst these sessions are challenging, they are very rewarding and i get a real sense of the difference we are making.
I’m looking forward to giving you a full Headstart Conference run down in the next HeadStart newsletter. It was an amazing day.
Adam.
