A message from: Richie Andrew – Health Improvement Specialist at Public Health South Tees
Hi All
Thank you so much for booking on, showing up and taking part yesterday.
You obviously know the value of a balanced approach to life and work and perhaps taking part now helps to enhance that understanding and focus on the topic.
Please share anything here, linked or otherwise with anyone you wish to; get organising groups or small events in your workplaces and communities/public spaces and just do it! If we don’t try, we never find out. Ask me, or Rachael/Joshua from our network team if you need support. Between us and our network, we are sure the answers are out there!
For those of who were nervous or unsure about speaking yesterday, yet did it anyway, I salute you, your contributions were all excellent and appreciated. 😊 If you shared via chat, thank you also. If you wanted to share or speak but felt too shy, please come forward next time and share your thoughts; getting out of our comfort zones even just a little has a HUGE effect on our confidence development and we need more of that right now!
Remember – HAPPIER TOGETHER! Connections in our life, of a good quality, drives happiness more than any other single factor. FIND YOUR TRIBE!
- I wish you all the very best in continuing work to elevate the science of wellbeing to the levels it is needed. I feel like those who do this stuff, know it works and it’s very difficult to turn your back on it. Then I feel that those who don’t know, just need to be introduced to one or two self-searching questions and shown the door. When people are ready, I genuinely trust that when they are listened to and they are seen as a whole person rather than a set of symptoms/problems to be solved, they can be empowered and make progress.
- As a bonus, (we can’t stop the kindness!) I have also included an extra resource in the online drive folder linked below, of a free copy (this is legal, don’t worry 😊 ) of last years book ‘Wellbeing-Science and Policy) which may be useful to those of you in development or strategic roles but also has some practical stuff in there too. It could be of interest to any of you to be honest. Again, feel free to share it all.
· See attached the campaign briefing dates or CLICK HERE to view them online. You can use the campaign branding in that resource yourself, and lastly CLICK HERE to submit content for future briefings. We will send the booking links out for each briefing a few weeks in advance through the network or posted on our website here with all our other events and activities. That includes our upcoming march event “MOVEMENT, MASSAGE & MEDITATION with Liz Collier and Terry Doyle” and you can click here to read more and book on to that funded retreat day now. A handful of places are left when I checked this morning.
Wordy waffle now done, here’s what you came here for!
Please CLICK HERE or copy and paste the link below into your browser to access the full campaign set of resources including that extra book.
