There’s not long left to sign up to attend this MVDA in partnership with Healthwatch South Tees event to share good practice, learning and explore potential collaboration with those services who utilise a champions/ community connectors role. This will help us all to avoid repetition, over consultation and silo working.
If you are an organisation that connects with key members of our diverse communities to share or collect vital information to inform the support you offer, then join us on Wednesday 30 April,
10am – 1.15pm (register from 9.30am with lunch & networking from 12.30pm).
- You may have developed specific roles to do this i.e. connectors, champions, who work in different ways:
- Level 1 – information provision and communication of messages.
- Level 2 – consultation and knowledge exchange including offering insight into community needs.
- Level 3 – collaborations based on partnership working and shared decision making.
- The key community members could be members of the public or professionals delivering support to specific communities.
This outcomes of this event will:
- Raise awareness of organisations that utilise this approach so we can work smarter together.
- Identify challenges and solutions to overcome barriers of using this approach.
- Embed community-centred ways of working to improve our population’s health and wellbeing.
- Identify the next steps around how to scale up these approaches across local systems to achieve the best impact.
To secure a place at this event, please register here. There will also be a short pre-event template for you to complete that will inform the programme on the day.
