Welcome to our staff wellbeing section.
We are here to remind you that you and your wellbeing matters, YOU matter! For any of you who have attended our Academic Resilience training you will be familiar with our HeadStart Hearts activity. The activity is focused on resilient moves we make to cheer ourselves up after a difficult day and knowing that tomorrow is a new day!
Some of the ideas shared have included:
Hugging children Walk in nature
Yoga Walking the dog
Talking to family/friends Listening to music
Wine/Gin! Bubbly bath
Running Reading
We are all unique so it’s important to find an activity that soothes and supports you to feel better 😊 And we love to share ideas because sometimes what we do to help ourselves can stop working so you could try someone else’s activity and see if it’s a good fit for you.
We kindly encourage you to consider yourself in your daily list of to do’s and find some time for yourself where possible. Even if you feel like it’s been a good day -still do it! Keeping in protective factors which make you smile, bring you joy and help you relax are a buffer to daily stress so really important in managing our emotional health.
Think about what you can realistically do for yourself and protect this time! Schedule yourself into your diary!
