We are now into Autumn and we would recommend following some of the seasonal wellbeing practices to look after YOU!
Autumn can be a colourful time of year with the changing colour of the leaves, a walk through the park with the leaves crunching under foot has great benefits for wellbeing including a nature dose and getting some daylight when you can. We can also follow the wisdom and cycles of the natural world – as the leaves fall from the trees, think about some things you can let go of and put down that are perhaps holding you back.
The Scandinavian countries are often well ahead in their lifestyle and wellbeing approaches and we would definitely recommend indulging in the Denmark art of Hygge.
Hygge is about taking time away from the daily rush to be together with people you care about or just taking time some time for yourself to relax and enjoy life’s quieter pleasures. Light a candle, get some sparkly lights on and curl up with a book or whatever floats YOUR boat!
Even better, are there opportunities for staff during the working school day to embrace some small moments of Hygge?
