The HeadStarters from Whinney Banks Primary School recently visited a care home in their local community to spend some time with residents who are dealing with the impact of dementia. The Year 6 pupils read some of their favourite stories to the residents and shared discussions about what it’s like to be a young person in 2022.
The HeadStarters, who’re also playing a key role in supporting their peers in the playground, did a fantastic job and made a positive impact on the residents!
This work has also helped the HeadStarters to achieve their Silver Award!
