Throughout World Mental Health Day HeadStarters across the South Tees have been creating fantastic artwork and videos that have been shared on our social media pages to share awareness about the importance of wellbeing.
A group of Yr 9 HeadStarters at St Peter’s Catholic College shared some insightful comments about what mental health means to them and how they can help themselves and others.
“We can help people by asking if they are okay twice. We can help ourselves by doing things we enjoy and being around family and friends. We can ask an older brother or sister to help because you can feel comfortable”. – Yr 9 HeadStarter
“To Prevent having mental health problems we can make sure to check on your friends when they don’t look okay and always ask if they are okay twice” – Yr 9 HeadStarter
“Mental health is important because people struggle to speak out” – Yr 9 HeadStarter
The group also created some fantastic artwork below.
Yr 5 HeadStarters at St Gabriel’s created a fantastic video promoting World Mental Health Day. The group has been learning about self-care and how to integrate the 5 Ways to Well being in their daily routines whilst sharing gratitude.
